Having a Function

The Oaks Hotel's award winning "Cue and Cushion Bar" situated on the first floor contains three function areas.

  • The Terrace and Spare Rooms - Capacity 80, minimum 30 (contains BBQ)
  • The Licensee's Flat - Capacity 60, minimum 30
  • The Dining Room - Capacity 30, minimum 15

There is no room's hire charge at The Oaks which helps keep costs to a minimum although you are required to order food from one of our packages. As you can see from the menus there are food packages to cater for every budget. The minimum price per head is $20.00.

Drinks can be obtained from the bar, centrally located amongst the rooms. Waiting staff can also be organised to look after your guests and drinks can be pre-ordered and set up in your room ready for your arrival.

All rooms contain a Juke-Box and Pool Table to add to the enjoyment of the night.

  • Waiting Staff: $25.00 perhour (min 3 hours)
    We recomend 1 staff member per 35 guests (optional)
  • Juke Box: $2.00 per 3 songs
  • Pool Tables: $4.00 per game

The Licensee's Flat

For that special occasion you may decorate the room, just speak to the function coordinator to arrange a time. You may bring a cake along for birthday celebrations etc. We can store the cake until it is required. The Oaks will supply all plates, forks, napkins for this.

Dress rules do apply. The minimum requirement is smart casual wear. No thongs, tanktops, singlets, stubbie shorts or soiled footwear are permitted. No shorts after 6.00pm please.

A deposit of $200 is required to secure the room. Please forward a cheque made payable to the Oaks Hotel within two weeks of booking your function.

This will be deducted from account at the conclusion of the function. All accounts must be settled with either credit card or cash at the end of the function. Ten days notice are required on cancellations for the deposit to be refunded.

No under 18 year-olds (including babies and children) are permitted in "The Cue and Cushion Function Rooms".

You are welcome at any time to drop in and have a look at the rooms or phone ahead and make an appointment with the function coordinator.

  • Pool Table: $4 per game
  • Juke Box: $2 per 3 songs
  • Waiting Staff: $25 per hour minimum 3 hours
    One staff member per 35 guests (optional)

The Oaks also caters for those wishing just to book a pool room. These rooms also contain a juke box and may be booked for 1 hour periods. There is no charge for the room, just the cost of playing pool. Food may be ordered from the bar and it will be bought to your room. What better way to meet with new clients, catch up with friends or relax after work.
